Smart Home Installation in Charlotte

Smart home gear is only useful when it is mounted correctly, connected cleanly, and easy to use after the installer leaves. A smart lock that binds, a doorbell with weak Wi-Fi, or a camera pointed at the wrong angle just becomes another chore.

What We Install

We install smart locks, video doorbells, cameras, sensors, basic smart hubs, keypads, and related small hardware. General handyman work starts at $95/hr with a 1-hour minimum.

Popular brands include Schlage, Yale, August, Eufy, Ring, Nest, and similar homeowner-grade systems.

What We Check First

For smart locks, we check door alignment, latch fit, deadbolt throw, strike plate, batteries, and app setup. If the door rubs or the bolt does not slide smoothly, the lock may fail even if the electronics are fine.

For cameras and doorbells, placement and Wi-Fi strength matter. A perfect device in a bad location will still disappoint you.

HOA and Apartment Notes

Some condos, apartments, and HOAs limit exterior cameras, doorbell changes, or visible hardware. South End, Uptown, Ballantyne, and SouthPark buildings can have rules that matter before drilling.

Check the rules first. We can still help with renter-friendly or interior options when exterior mounting is not allowed.

DIY vs. Calling a Handyman

DIY is fine for a battery camera on a simple bracket or a smart plug. Call a handyman when the device needs drilling, door adjustment, strike plate work, clean wire routing, or a secure mount.

A smart lock should close easily by hand before the motor ever turns.
