Drywall Repairs, Walls and Ceilings

We handle doorknob holes, anchor damage, nail pops, dents, scuffs, larger damaged sections and openings left by remodel work. Several holes on one wall may need a different finish plan from one isolated patch. Include the surrounding surface in your photos so we can assess the repair and painting together.

For water marks or ceiling damage, the leak or moisture source must be fixed before cosmetic repair begins. Patching does not resolve an active leak or a hidden cause. We review the damaged area, surface condition, height and access before agreeing on the work.

Painting a Wall, Ceiling, Room or More

Painting does not have to be tied to a drywall repair. We take on single walls, ceilings, whole rooms and multiple rooms, as well as crown molding, baseboards and other trim. Tell us which surfaces need painting, whether the color is changing, and what furniture or belongings are in the work area.

We also offer interior and exterior painting as separately planned projects. Preparation, surface condition, height, safe access and the requested finish shape the estimate. For exterior work, the surface needs to be suitable for the coating and the weather must allow the work. Send the full task list: a larger painting job gets its own agreed scope and price, not an automatic limit to a small touch-up.

What Goes Into the Estimate

Our general handyman labor rate is $95 per hour with a one-hour minimum. That is a starting labor rate, not a fixed price for every drywall or painting job. Patch size and depth, the number of areas, access, preparation, texture, paint and the required stages affect the estimate. Larger painting projects are quoted for the agreed work.

All prices are for labor only. Materials are always separate: you can provide them, or we can purchase approved items and bill them at the actual receipt cost. We confirm the arrangement before work begins. If the agreed scope changes, revised work and pricing are confirmed before additional work continues.

From Surface Preparation to Finished Paint

We check the surface, protect nearby floors and furniture where needed, and prepare the repair or painting area. For a drywall patch, repair, feathering and sanding come before the agreed texture, primer and paint. We tidy our work area after the agreed work.

Compound, texture, primer and paint need enough drying time between stages. A repair may need a return visit. The one-hour labor minimum is not a promise that patching and painting will both be finished in an hour.

How Closely Will a Touch-Up Match?

A sound repair can still show under side lighting. Orange peel, knockdown, smooth finishes, older repairs, paint sheen and fading all affect the result. Leftover paint helps us understand what is on the wall, but it does not guarantee an invisible touch-up.

We explain the likely matching limits before the finish work. If a small touch-up is unlikely to look right, we can include painting the surrounding wall or ceiling in the estimate. That additional area is agreed before work begins.
